Source TM(s)

List of memories you have selected for merging.

Remove Source TM(s) After Merge

This setting means that the source memories will be deleted after the memory merge. This is a common choice because merging is usually done precisely to result in a single shared memory.

Note: If one of the source memories is selected as the target memory, this memory will not be deleted. All other selected source memories will be deleted.

Target TM

Here you select ONLY ONE target memory to which the merging should take place. One of the source memories can also be selected as the target memory. It is also possible to create a new empty memory.

Empty Target TM Before Merge

Check if you want to completely delete the target memory before merging.

Resolve TM Merge Conflicts

Select how to handle conflicts between the segments of Source TM(s) and the segments existing in the Target TM.

This setting determines how the system behaves during merging if it encounters inconsistencies in memory content, i.e. when there are several segments that have identical source content, but whose translations are different. The default setting (Keep Both Versions) preserves all variants.

Note: The “Override Existing Segments” option is only available when importing individual memories. If you want to always overwrite segments in the target memory with multiple source memories, you must import them one at a time to determine the correct order.
